Tuesday 28th July - Maeroa Road Show
A small group of Maeroa students will visit your child's school to talk about the opportunities available at our school.
Wednesday 5th August - Open Night @ Maeroa - 4.00pm - 6.30pm
You are welcome to come and look through our classrooms, talk with students and teachers. No appointment needed - Our principal Susan Wood will speak at 4.00pm and repeat the same message at 6.00pm, if you are interested in applying for the DLU we will have an information talk at 5.00pm and for the sports class at 5.30pm in the auditorium.
Monday 10th August - Enrolment Packs Available
Enrolment packs are dropped at Frankton, Aberdeen, Nawton, Vardon and Forest Lake Schools for students to take home and are available on request from our Maeroa School office for families from other schools.
Friday 11th September 3.00pm 2020 - Enrolment Packs are due back
All enrolments for 2021 are due back to either your child's current school or Maeroa Intermediate
Out of zone applications close Friday 11th September, 3.00pm.
Applications for Sports Unit, Rumaki, Reo Rua or the DLU - Gifted and Talented class must meet the enrollment deadlines to be considered.
Wednesday 23rd September Ballot held for all Out of Zone Enrolments
The ballot will be held on this date and you will receive a letter over the following week, depending on mail, to let you know your enrolment status. If you did not get in on the ballot you will have the option of being placed on a waiting list.
TERM 4
Enrolment Interviews
Week 2 - Thursday 22nd October Week 3 - Wednesday 28th October
All incoming students will attend an interview with their families. You book a time directly with us when you return your enrolment pack. This is an opportunity to ask and answer questions and gather relevant information to help with the transition.
Week 4 - Sports Class Trial and DLU testing
This is only for students that have applied for these specialist classes before the enrolment deadlines.

Boys - Tuesday 3rd November 3.30pm - 5.30pm Girls - Thursday 5th November 3.30 - 5.00pm
Week 4 - DLU Testing - 8.30am to 11.45am
Thursday 5th November meet at Maeroa Intermediate School Library
Week 6 - Visit with Year 6 Teachers
Amanda Taylor and Charles Hume, our Deputy Principals, will visit schools and speak with teachers about students strengths, needs and collect learning data. This information will be used in conjunction with information collected at the enrolment interviews when considering class placements for 2021.
Starting Tuesday 24th November - Orientation Visits
Students visit Maeroa for the morning starting with Powhiri and then have a chance to participate in some of our TECH/Arts classes. Students enjoy the morning here with their peers and it is a chance to develop the beginning of their independence here at Maeroa. You will get confirmation of dates and times closer to the time.
Tuesday 15th December - 4.00pm to 6.00pm - Meet the Teacher
Families are invited to come in and find out who their teacher is for 2021 and where their classroom will be, pick up stationery lists and check out who is going to be in their class. Make your way to the gym and one of our student leaders will show you to your allocated class - no appointment needed and this will take about 15 minutes.
