Welcome to Maeroa Intermediate 

We have begun to get enquiries about enrolment for 2021, I would like to outline our enrolment process below so if you are considering our school as an option for next year you are able to pencil in key dates and meet enrolment deadlines.  

Our school zone map and ballot priorities are outlined on our school website and it is important that you understand if you are in zone or out of zone as you will need to provide specific proof of address in order to apply for an in zone enrolment.  If you live out of the Maeroa School zone it is likely that we will have approximately 75 places available for incoming Year 7 students in 2021.

Meeting deadlines is especially important if you live outside of our school zone as the ballot dates are firm and no exceptions are allowed under the Education Act. Throughout the year as events come up we will send home reminders with your child, post these on our school Facebook page and school website.  

Our enrolment process is very thorough and designed to allow for the best transition to intermediate school. When students have followed this process we are able to build quite a picture of their needs and make informed decisions to ensure that moving to a new school is as smooth as possible.
